Health and Physical Education
The PE program in high school continues to build confidence and skill in sports. The program's primary goal is to investigate transferrable movement abilities in a number of sports and activities (basketball, volleyball, badminton, football, swimming, and softball). Students will begin to apply their knowledge of activity components, simplify their own fitness and activity interests, and explore new competitive and leisure activities.
Health education contributes significantly to our students' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive (learning potential) development.TUP's health program aims to create individual values, attitudes, capabilities, and beliefs that will enable students to commit to their own and others' health for the rest of their lives. Students are given the chance to learn and put into practice the information, attitudes, and abilities needed to comprehend and control emotions, build and uphold positive relationships, set and accomplish positive objectives, feel and demonstrate empathy for others, and make ethical judgments.
